Error in Communicating with the Camera

Camera Connection software must be installed in order for the camera icon to be displayed in the Open window or in Windows Explorer. If the camera cannot communicate with your computer, try the following.

u Check that the camera is securely connected to the computer and is turned on.

u If you are using the camera dock, make sure it is connected to the computer, the camera is placed correctly in the dock, and the Transfer button has been pressed.

u If you receive an error message indicating there are no pictures on the camera, make sure it has not entered auto power off mode. If the camera is in auto power off mode, turn it on.

u Make sure the camera appears as an icon in the My Computer window or in Windows Explorer. To refresh the display, press F5. If the camera is not displayed, disconnect the camera, restart your computer, and reconnect your camera.
